About Us - Robert J. Harrington

Mr. Harrington commenced his formal business career while attending Boston College with majors in Finance and Computer Science, where he graduated with honors.  He established his own real estate holding trust and at the time of graduation held seven different properties.  He then went on to be the general partner of Arlington-Winthrop I Limited Partnership, in which he took on investment partners and over the life of the LP returned their original capital coupled with an astounding 78% Internal Rate of Return.

Since that time Mr. Harrington, while continuing to grow in the real estate field, made a conscious effort to diversify into corporate ownership to better balance long-term financial plans as well as stabilize the peaks and troughs of differing business cycles.
Today this combined effort of real estate and corporate holdings has spanned a dynamic range including:

• Nexum Group, a partnership that serves as a corporate umbrella, consulting and real estate brokerage firm.
• Manufacturing and distribution of search and rescue equipment.
• Retail, mail order and manufacturing of snowboard and related products, which now also includes design, develop and issued patents.
• Manufacturing of injection molding machines and the production of both plastic and metal containers.
• Manufacturing of environmentally safe furniture polishes, waxes and related products.  This also includes insurance and protection programs available at retail stores.
• Publishing of time sensitive books covering current issues.
• Export of American made products to Europe.
• An expanding chain of high-end eco-resorts based in the Caribbean.
• Real estate holding, management and development corporations, LLCs and trusts hold a variety of properties ranging from land to residential rental units, commercial, retail and industrial. Usually purchased at discounted pricing due to complex issues that needed solving.
• The development and operations of senior housing communities modeled under the assisted living profile.
• Electric supply chain with a specialty in lighting.
• Other areas include commercial printing, strategy based web development, fulfillment bottling and medical backroom operations.

Mr. Harrington also spends a fair amount of time performing pro-bono work for smaller local companies and non-profits that are making a conscious effort to improve the community. He also serves on a number of corporate boards and a Massachusetts bank.
